Vespa Rebuild

So, this may not be the most interesting blog post for most of you who visit my site, but for those of you who are in to Vespas, you will enjoy this.  My good friend, Mark, and I are rebuilding my entire 1979 P200 Vespa.  We are rebuilding the engine, running a new wiring harness, cleaning every inch of it and possibly painting the whole thing as well.  We got started last night and hope to have it all done by next week.  I’m making a video of the whole process, but for now, here are some photos from day 1.

  • Sounds like quite a project. Looking forward to seeing the finished result.

You know, when I was about 18, I was staying at my dad’s with the guy who was my boyfriend at the time, and he found a Vespa scooter at the school abandoned. I think my dad rode it for a while. :)

I like the way the pics go together. Nice job.
