Thank You Jon
Last night, my Wife and I were already planning going to Jon Foreman’s solo show with some friends. About 30 min. before we left the house, Jon sent me a text to bring my Lap Steel. I brought it and really didn’t know what he wanted me to play on. I ended up playing on 2 songs with Jon…”No Cure For Pain” and “Lord, Save Me From Myself.” It truly was an honor to play with Jon. We have known each other for almost 10 years and have played together a few times on past tours. It’s always fun and nerve racking to sit in with someone and not know what your going to play, but I felt like it went well last night. It was also great to play with 2 other amazing musicians, Aaron on drums and Kieth on cello. So, thanks Jon for having me play on two of my favorite song you have written! Go buy Jon’s 4 solo EP’s if you have not, they are so good.

I’m a little bit jealous. I really want to see one of Jon’s acoustic sets. I’m glad you were playing the lap steel and not me, though. LOL Not that I could play it if I wanted to.
Sounds great, though.
My favorite is Learning How to Die. I love that song. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes.

2 things:
1. This is how music business should be. Friends playing with friends.
2. Deas Vail + Jon Foreman? (+ You on lapsteel of course). Why didn’t anyone tell me (and bought me a ticket to the states). This must have been the best concert ever.
