New Music & Photography
About 2 or 3 months ago, I got a call from my great friend, Brad at Gotee Records, about shooting some photos for a new band called Abandon Kansas that he had signed. They were recording an EP with another great friend, Mark Lee Townsend. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know these dudes in Abandon Kansas and got some rad shots of them in the studio and around town for use in their EP! Please check out their myspace page for some tunes from the EP, We’re All Going Somewhere, out on September 8th! Yeah, those are 4 of my photos on the cover! Boerhaus Design is responsible for the cover and layout. I also have some photos in other bands upcoming albums this year…more on that later!
Also, I wanted to show another photo from The Gorge in Washington. It’s another shot I got of my amazing friends, Pete & Melissa…

I KNEW the name “Abandon Kansas” sounded familiar! At first I thought maybe they were FROM Sacramento or something, cuz I’d seen their name on a poster, but they’re from Kansas. But apparently they had a show at Club Retro in Orangevale a week ago… SMALL world!!! Not to mention they’re playing again sometime in September. I’ll hafta check ‘em out!
