Film!

Ok, first off, thanks to everyone who commented on the previous post.  I’m sure there will be more people reading and commenting, but for now, I’m headed back to what my site is normally focused on.  Music & Photography.

I really have been trying to do more film stuff lately.  I broke out the old Holga and start shooting with that again, been using my Polaroid Land Camera 225 and, as always, have a few things on the wish list.  I have had a Canon AE-1 35mm camera for years that my Mom gave me and it bit the dust a few years back.  I know I shouldn’t spend the money but I would love to get one of those again and also either of these one of these days…

  • It’s true, even the best photo rendering job can’t exact the look and feel of a vintage camera. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for some good deals for you man.

  • Check this out… http://usa.shop.lomography.com/cameras/holga-cameras/holga-cameras/holga-135 I don’t know if you want to spend $50, but it seemed like the cheapest, yet most legitimate online store. Although, you could always try eBay ;)

  • My sister has a Polaroid Land Camera 600, and I thought about getting it, but I checked out the film and it was so pricy (comes to about $5 per photo.) that was just too crazy for me. Fun cameras, though.

We have a couple of old Olympus OM-1 35mm bodies and lenses. One of these days I’ll get brave and try some film shots again. It’s been a while.

Can’t recall if I said this already or not, but I love the shot of Allister Ann. You keep getting better. I think I’m getting worse. LOL

  • I looked up the Canon AE-1 and was surprised at how inexpensive a used one was with extra lenses.

I kind of quite using the Olympus a while back, but I did get some great shots with it.
