Tonight we take off for our next tour, Winter Wonder Slam with Toby Mac and Family Force 5. I’m looking forward to this one because we get to come home every week. Between Warped Tour and our Fall tour, it will be a nice change. I mentioned, earlier, a photo project I will be involved in soon, I won’t say much yet, but check out my two new photos below that are for that project. I’m really happy with them and hope you like them too.

Being from California, My Family and I did our grocery shopping mostly at Trader Joe’s. So, when we found out there was one coming to Nashville, there was a countdown timer in my brain that finally ended this morning at about 6:00am. Thats right…6AM! My Wife, our good friend and I drove over there at said time, got out of the car and decided to create the start of a “line.”  If you are attending a concert, play or speaking engagement, you usually get in a line.  If you are the first people there, you are responsible for the creation of the line.  Correct?  Well, my Wife went on a coffee run for us and while she was gone, there were a couple elderly folk wandering around the parking lot. They grabbed carts (3 hours early) and parked them against the front door, forming a pretend line. There was even a dude we met named “Skip” who said…”Hey, is this where the line starts?” We told him, “yes”. His friends began to show up and get in the real line we started by being the first ones there.

Fast forward an hour or so…
There about 20 people in our real line and this rich lady from Brentwood (insert Thurston Howell Accent) joined the pretend line. I would like to give her the benifit of the doubt…maybe she was blind. Let’s face it, she got around amazingly well for a blind woman. So, after another half hour of the not so blind lady claiming her spot in the pretend line, I decided to go to the pretend line and say…”Hello, there’s a real line over here that these 45 people are in to shop at Trader Joe’s.” The not blind lady starred blankly and this old dude said…”Thanks for the invite, we’re good!” First off…It wasn’t an invitation to a sweet party I was throwing in the real line, I was just doing a public service to the, now 65, people in the real line. Even if I was throwing a sweet party, that dude would NOT be invited!

Fast forward to when the doors open…Justice is about to be served!
The doors open and the manager, who saw we were clearly in a real line said, “Were gonna let the people who were here the earliest come in first!” Faaaace!! The not blind lady said, “Who cares? We’re all gonna get in, it doesnt matter who goes in first.” She must have thought we were deaf because she proceeded to cut off my wife with her cart…wife did not have it, she played the offense and prevailed for the win!
As tore up as we were about it, our patience payed off. Two different managers gave us free stuff for being there so early! Awesome tote bags for groceries and a free bag of goodies from Trader Joe’s!  Their customer service is outstanding. They could clearly see our passion, dedication & gratitude for what they worked so hard to set up here in the great city of Nashville. So, we got our favorite items from Trader Joe’s and made our way home while the not blind lady and her friends in the pretend line were wandering aimlessly, confused why they don’t have coupon books…TJ’s prices are always cheap so you don’t need one! Do some research when you get back to Brentwood (Insert Thurston Howell Accent). Thats all, Happy Trader Joesmas!!
