It’s seems like everyone is on tumblr these days. I always get suckered into whatever the latest blogging site is. First it was xanga, then blogger…etc. Finally, a couple years ago, I got my own site up and running and still could not be more happy with the route I took. Since I am involved in photography and music, tumblr seemed like a great thing to start and gets so much traffic of people that might like what I do. Here’s the catch, I didn’t want something else I had to keep track of. So, I installed a little plugin in wordpress to send everything I write on my site to tumblr. I win. For those who If you want to follow me on tumblr (which is really wordpress) go here…ethanjohnluck.tumblr.com
About a month ago, when I photographed Denison Witmer, I had him play a song or two in my living room. I thought it would be fun to take video and good audio of it. I finally got around to putting it all together. It was a bit dark in my living room, so the quality could be better. I hope to do this more often with artists and also include some interview footage as well. We’ll see. This is a song off of Denison’s new record called “Hold On” from The Ones Who Wait. Pick up his new record on April 26th! I hope you enjoy it.
I always love when I find out about a band/artist that I had not heard before and immediately like. Every week, when Warped Tour announces new bands, I like to go through every one of them and see if I like it. There’s a few bands, so far, that I am really excited to watch on Warped Tour this summer. Living in an age where someone can record something on their laptop and put it online the same day, it can often be hard to weed out the good bands and artists. It takes some patience, but it’s so worth it when you find something good. Here are the two bands I suggest you check out and come see, along with us, on Warped Tour this summer!
